Are there any people who really inspire what you’re doing in terms of beauty?<\/strong><\/h4>\nNaturally, I’m always looking back into the past for inspiration. I’m a sucker for timelessness. I’m always looking at photos of Diana Ross. I love Audrey Hepburn. I just like quite classic, simple things in life. <\/p>\n
Diana Ross really played with makeup. She would do the big eyelashes and that really distinctive eye. So I might move into playing a bit more. <\/p>\n
I love this for you. Is there anything you’ve learned about beauty since you started having a makeup artist and being famous and going out into the world that you didn’t know before?<\/strong><\/h4>\nGosh, so much. It’s been a real education. I really didn’t know a lot when I first came into doing music, but I think ultimately it’s always about \u201cless is more.\u201d If you look after your skin, it just allows everything to kind of glide on top. So I really focus a lot on my skincare and my evening routine, the taking off as well. I think there’s an art to that, as much as the putting on.<\/p>\n
Do you have any favorite skincare products? <\/strong><\/h4>\nGosh, I use all sorts of things on my face. You know the Medicube face masks that everyone loves? I tried that, and I said, \u2018You know what? Yeah, I feel like I have glass skin now, guys.\u2019 The hype is real.<\/p>\n

What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever gotten from anyone?<\/strong><\/h4>\nMy mom was always so clear with me that my hair was my beauty and to really look after it. I’ve never dyed my hair. I’ve never really done anything crazy with my hair. I just have my mom’s voice in my head, being like, \u2018Look after it. It’s your beauty.\u2019 And I’m so proud of my hair. I used to really feel quite self-conscious about it being too big or wild, but I’ve really grown out of that way of thinking. I think that it makes me individual.<\/p>\n
Are there any trends happening in the world of beauty right now that you love, or, alternately, any trends that you know you\u2019ll never get into?<\/strong><\/h4>\nThin brows\u2014no. I’m trying to thicken the brow. I’m out with that trend. I\u2019m keeping it classic.<\/p>\n
Let me ask you about getting-ready rituals. How do you psych yourself up emotionally?<\/strong><\/h4>\nI always love to play music. I know that feels like an obvious thing to do, but that can really set the tone for me. I love romantic soundtracks, maybe French or Italian, kind of \u201860s drama. Last question: Are you a \u201cput on lipstick every time you go out the door\u201d kind of girl?<\/strong><\/h4>\nYes! Now that I’ve gotten attached to being so glamorous at work, it’s quite hard to not want to feel like that all the time.
