He played Barry Dort, the new principal of Nevermore Academy. The film icon and Ho looked happier than ever as they hit the red carpet premiere of The Bride!<\/em> in New York this week at the Rose Theater. <\/p>\n

What Has Steve Buscemi Said About Losing His First Wife?<\/h2>\n

It’s Buscemi\u2019s real-life\u00a0challenges that make his journey so relatable. The actor recently opened up about losing his first wife in 2019 and his decision to remarry last year. In an interview with the\u00a0New York Times<\/em>\u00a0back in August, the typically quiet star spoke candidly about the loss of his wife of more than 30 years, filmmaker and artist\u00a0Jo Andres<\/strong>, who died in 2019 of a rare bowel cancer.<\/p>\n

During the interview, Buscemi\u2019s eyes welled up with tears while speaking about his late wife. Buscemi said he still owned the Brooklyn brownstone they lived in,\u00a0\u201cbut it\u2019s not right for me anymore, you know? It\u2019s just \u2014 it\u2019s too big.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor also noted that \u201cgrief\u00a0is not linear\u201d and that it can coexist with happy times.<\/p>\n

How Did Steve Buscemi Find Love Again?<\/h2>\n

Buscemi has found some of those happy times, too. In 2025, Buscemi remarried. But instead of sticking with someone in the entertainment industry, his wife doesn\u2019t work in it. She doesn\u2019t even share the same taste as him, with Buscemi noting that \u201cher tastes are totally different from mine in\u00a0movies,\u201d\u00a0he told the\u00a0Times<\/em>. The couple recently found a new place in Manhattan together.<\/p>\n

The piece also noted that Buscemi has managed to serve as a guiding light for his costars. Ortega told the\u00a0publication<\/em>\u00a0how much of an inspiration he is to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout trying to be or in any sort of patronizing ways, he is a great source of wisdom and advice and life lessons,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
