BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) \u2013 Having a baby is a day you\u2019ll remember for the rest of your life, but doing it alongside a loved one made it that much more special for a Boardman family.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, March 4, at 2:45 p.m., Tae\u2019zon Crump was born at Saint Elizabeth\u2019s Hospital in Boardman.<\/p>\n
And just one hour later, his cousin A\u2019lani Thigpen was born just down the hall.<\/p>\n
Their family calls them Twin Cousins, but it was completely unplanned and unexpected.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t know I was going into labor that day,\u201d said Aniya Roberson, one of the moms. \u201cI thought it was just going to be a regular day and go back home.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tae\u2019zon\u2019s mother, Aniya Roberson, was given an initial due date of March 9. Her sister Alena\u2019s was on March 25.<\/p>\n
They both went in on Wednesday for scheduled doctors\u2019 appointments, neither expecting to go into labor.<\/p>\n
But within minutes of each other, both were told that it was time.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy daughter called, she said, mom, I went to my doctor\u2019s appointment,\u201d grandma Equilla Roberson said. \u201cThey\u2019re going to induce me. A couple of minutes later, she\u2019s like, I think I hear my sister here and she\u2019s like, I call. I\u2019m like, well, call her, call her! She\u2019s like, mom, I\u2019m being induced, too.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey told us that we was going to be having to go into labor, you know, because our fluids was, you know, both of our fluids was low,\u201d Alena added. \u201cSo we had to do it for the same reason, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we came out with healthy babies,\u201d Aniya added.<\/p>\n
After hours of family running back and forth between rooms, the sisters both had their babies in their arms and each other by their side.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was actually very happy for my sister. You know, it was our first time having a baby. You know, I got a son. So, you know, it\u2019s a first experience,\u201d Alena said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re going to be doing everything together. He\u2019s going to protect her,\u201d Aniya said. \u201cShe\u2019s going to be the little princess.\u201d<\/p>\n
