Kimberly Van Der Beek<\/strong> is honoring the life of her late husband.<\/p>\n Indeed, James Van Der Beek<\/strong>\u2019s wife of 15 years shared a series of unseen photos and videos of the Dawson\u2019s Creek <\/em>alum\u2014who died Feb. 11 following a battle with colorectal cancer\u2014on what would have been his 49th birthday.<\/p>\n \u201cWould be your 49th birthday today,\u201d Kimberly wrote over a picture of her and James on Instagram Stories Mar. 8. \u201cAnd I\u2019m missing you tremendously.\u201d<\/p>\n Kimberley\u2014mom to kids Olivia<\/strong>, 15, Joshua<\/strong>, 13, Annabel<\/strong>, 12, Emilia<\/strong>, 9, Gwendolyn<\/strong>, 7, and Jeremiah<\/strong>, 4, with James\u2014also shared a video of the Varsity Blues <\/em>actor \u201cJust a year and a half ago. Doing what he loved. Working this land.\u201d<\/p>\n The mom of six went on to share a slew of never-before-seen family memories with James and their little ones.<\/p>\n \u201cAlways dancing with his kids,\u201d she wrote over a video of James getting groovy with his youngest son, later writing \u201cTaking them on adventures\u201d over another snap of The Rules of Attraction <\/em>actor with two of his toddlers.<\/p>\n READ<\/b> Inside James Van Der Beek and Wife Kimberly’s Enduring Love Story <\/p>\n \u201cYou are the light of our lives,\u201d Kimberly wrote over another family photo. \u201cYour love. Beauty. Presence. Tenderness. Protection. Safety. Creativity. Singing.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for the time.\u201d<\/p>\n Kimberly\u2014who wed James in 2010\u2014also opened up about her grief following James\u2019 tragic death.<\/p>\n \u201cBaby, you were the best humanity had to offer,\u201d she wrote over a photo of their entire family. \u201cThis is a loss I don\u2019t know how to process. I will love you forever.\u201d<\/p>\n Kimberly\u2019s emotional tribute comes weeks after sharing that she and James renewed their vows in a bedside service days before he died.<\/p>\n \u201cWe decided two days beforehand and our friends got us new rings, filled our bedroom with flowers and candles and we renewed our vows from bed,” Kimberly told People<\/em> in an interview published Feb. 17, noting that the ceremony was \u201csimple and beautiful and moving.\u201d<\/p>\n The ceremony came six months after James\u2014who went public with his colorectal cancer diagnosis in 2024\u2014marked 15 years of marriage with Kimberly.<\/p>\n \u201c15 years ago today, this woman agreed to be my bride. @vanderkimberly you are the most extraordinary human I\u2019ve ever met,\u201d he captioned an Aug. 1 Instagram post featuring a selfie of him and his wife. \u201cOne day I\u2019ll tell the story of what you\u2019ve endured these last two years and how you\u2019ve shown up, time and time and time again.
