Gyllenhaal spoke with <em style=\"text-align: justify\">People<\/em> about Buckley&#8217;s success this awards season and their close friendship. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve known Jessie a long time,&#8221; she said. &#8220;She was in my first film,\u00a0<em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Lost Daughter<\/em>, and I think she&#8217;s really brilliant. I&#8217;m so pleased for her about everything that&#8217;s happening in the world, seeing her talent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Buckley has been receiving widespread critical acclaim for her role as Agnes in <strong style=\"text-align: justify\">Chloe Zhao&#8217;s<\/strong> film <em style=\"text-align: justify\">Hamnet.<\/em> She has won a Golden Globe, Critic&#8217;s Choice Award, BAFTA, and Actor Award for her performance and she is nominated for Best Actress at this year&#8217;s Academy Awards. Buckley also received an Academy Award nomination for her role in Gyllenhaal&#8217;s film <em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Lost Daughter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Speaking to <em style=\"text-align: justify\">People<\/em> about Buckley&#8217;s role in <em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Bride!<\/em> Gyllenhaal said, &#8220;I think in this movie, it&#8217;s like next level.
