PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG\/WECP) – Artists from near and far flocked to Panama City to share their talents.<\/p>\n
Bay Arts Alliance hosted the free public festival for the sixth year that included live music, fine arts vendors and vibrant artworks. Artist Ivan Garcia from Tennessee embraced the pink flamingo theme for this year\u2019s FLLUXE Arts Festival.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s about that they can interact with it and feel like they\u2019re in a world that doesn\u2019t exist,\u201d Garcia told NewsChannel7.<\/p>\n
Jessi Queen said she snapped a photo of a macaw from her zoo back home in Atlanta to paint for the public to admire. <\/p>\n
\u201cSo this festival has a lot of flamingos and birds, and I wanted to do another bird that\u2019s pretty popular here so the Macaw,\u201d Queen said about her sidewalk mural.<\/p>\n
While another artist known as \u201cThe Chalking Dad,\u201d drew inspiration from a trending monkey and its plushie.<\/p>\n
\u201cI try to do things that are going to resonate with the public wherever I go and Punch being on TikTok and Instagram for the last week and a half felt like a great opportunity to draw to draw Punch with his stuffed orangutan,\u201d Erik Greenawalt said of Punch\u2019s sidewalk art debut.<\/p>\n
Greenawalt said his art that started at home has since taken him around the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen my girls were about four and one years old they wanted me to draw princesses, last art class I took was my freshman year of high school, had to teach myself how to draw and now it\u2019s turned into something that\u2019s taken me all around the really all around the world,\u201d Greenawalt said describing his journey as an artist.<\/p>\n
Punch and his exotic bird companions were the talk of Downtown Panama City.<\/p>\n
