Corey Parker, known for his roles in \u201cWill & Grace,\u201d \u201cFriday the 13th: A New Beginning,\u201d and more, has died, according to his family. He was 60.<\/p>\n

Parker\u2019s aunt told TMZ that the actor, whose first roles date back to the 1980s, died Thursday after a battle with cancer. Additional details were not immediately available. <\/p>\n

An online fundraiser previously established for Parker, who had become an acting coach, said in April 2025 that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones. The diagnosis came after Parker broke his hip in August 2024. <\/p>\n

In an October update, Parker described his cancer as \u201caggressive,\u201d adding that hormone therapy had worked \u201conly for a few months\u201d and that the cancer had \u201cbeen growing and spreading all this time.\u201d A November update from Parker said the cancer had spread to his \u201cskull, entire spine, shoulders, clavicles, sternum, ribs, arms, pelvis, hip bones, [and] legs.\u201d<\/p>\n

In January, Parker reportedly told his classes that he would \u201cnot be able to continue teaching.\u201d The most recent update to the fundraiser, posted in mid-February, Parker said his family had \u201cstarted to prepare the house for the time when we will begin hospice care.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement shared via BGB Studio, Parker\u2019s sister, Noelle, said she believes \u201che left this world weightless, at peace & surrounded by love.\u201d Risa Bramon Garcia, a casting director with the studio, added that she had \u201cknown and loved you for the past 45 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Parker \u2013 whose mother, Rocky Parker, was also an actress \u2013 began acting when he was just 4 years old, according to The Hollywood Reporter. <\/p>\n

    earned his earliest acting credits in the 1980s, his IMDb page shows. That includes an uncredited role as a bully in the TV series, \u201cAs the World Turns,\u201d and a one-episode appearance on \u201cThe New Leave It to Beaver\u201d series.<\/p>\n

    Then, in 1985, Parker was cast as Pete in \u201cFriday the 13th: A New Beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Parker\u2019s resume also included appearances in episodes of \u201cABC Afterschool Specials,\u201d \u201cThirtysomething,\u201d \u201cEddie Dodd,\u201d and \u201cBlue Skies,\u201d among other shows. His most notable TV roles were as Neil Barash on \u201cFlying Blind,\u201d Dr. John Morgan on \u201cLove Boat: The Next Wave,\u201d and Josh on \u201cWill & Grace.\u201d <\/p>\n

    His last credits came in 2017 with an episode of \u201cSun Records\u201d and an appearance in the short, \u201cWinding Brook.\u201d<\/p>\n
