Rev. Jesse Jackson\u2019s son ripped former Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for using the late civil rights icon\u2019s memorial service to take shots at President Trump.<\/p>\n

Jesse Jackson Jr. said the grandstanding Democrats didn\u2019t really know his father, after they used their eulogies to bash the president, his policies, and his vision for America during Friday\u2019s star-studded send-off.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, I listened for several hours to three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson,\u201d the grieving son said Saturday during a private memorial service at Rainbow Push Coalition headquarters in Chicago.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe maintained a tense relationship with the political order, not because the presidents were white or black, but the demands of our message, the demands of speaking for the least of these \u2014 those who are disinherited, the damned, the dispossessed, the disrespected \u2014 demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions, but demanded a consistent, prophetic voice that at no point in time ever sold us out as people.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it speaks volumes about who the Rev. Jesse Jackson was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson died at 84 last month at his Chicago home.<\/p>\n

During Friday\u2019s service at Chicago\u2019s House of Hope, Obama warned about the state of the nation, calling each day a \u201cnew assault on our democratic institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cEach day, we\u2019re told by those in high office to fear each other and to turn on each other, and that some Americans count more than others, and that some don\u2019t even count at all,\u201d the former president said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated, and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength. It\u2019s hard to hope in those moments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden also claimed the Trump administration doesn\u2019t share \u201cany of the values that we have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former Vice President Kamala Harris, defeated by Trump in the 2024 election, bragged that she \u201cpredicted a lot about what\u2019s happening right now\u201d during her remarks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not into saying \u2018I told you so,\u2019 but we did see it coming,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut what I did not predict is that we would not have Jesse Jackson with us right now to help us get through this.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Clinton, who kept his eulogy mostly free of politics, remembered Jackson warmly as a good friend.<\/p>\n
