{"id":1335,"date":"2026-03-09T01:10:58","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T01:10:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/parkmania.pl\/?p=1335"},"modified":"2026-03-09T01:10:58","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T01:10:58","slug":"young-and-the-restless-earns-daytime-drama-win-at-wga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/parkmania.pl\/?p=1335","title":{"rendered":"Young and the Restless earns daytime drama win at WGA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Young and the Restless <\/em>continued its award-season success by once again winning best Daytime Dramaat the 2026 Writers Guild of America Awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Young and the Restless<\/em> beat out CBS\u2019s newest soap opera <em style=\"text-align: justify\">Beyond the Gates<\/em> as well as ABC\u2019s established juggernaut <em style=\"text-align: justify\">General Hospital.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Peacock&#8217;s <em style=\"text-align: justify\">Days of Our Lives<\/em> and CBS&#8217;s <em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Bold and the Beautiful<\/em> were not nominated for the award. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The award was presented to members of <em style=\"text-align: justify\">The Young and the Restless <\/em>writing team, including associate head writers\u00a0<strong style=\"text-align: justify\">Jeff Beldner, Marla Kanelos, Dave Ryan, <\/strong>along with writers <strong style=\"text-align: justify\">Susan Banks, Amanda L. Beall, Marin Gazzaniga, Rebecca McCarty, <\/strong>and<strong style=\"text-align: justify\"> Madeleine Phillips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-document-id=\"cms\/api\/amp\/image\/AA1XML6H\" data-reference=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1XML6H.jpg\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto\"\/> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Head writer and executive producer<strong style=\"text-align: justify\"> Josh Griffith<\/strong> was not included among the credited recipients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Griffith has previously been reported to hold \u201cfinancial core\u201d (Fi-Core) status, a designation writers have adopted during a writers guild strike. Griffith made this decision during the 2007-2008 Writers Guild strike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">According to the Writers Guild of America, Fi-Core writers are individuals who choose not to maintain full union membership while continuing to work under union contracts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The writer\u2019s guild notes that individuals with Fi-Core status are not considered full union members and therefore cannot participate in certain guild activities.
