Michael J Fox took a little trip down memory lane when he met up with his friend and Back to the Future<\/em> co-star, Christopher Lloyd. <\/p>\n

The 64-year-old legend took to Instagram to share a candid snapshot from his reunion. In it, the two are sitting at a beachside restaurant, smiling mid-conversation. The image truly captures the emotions of their touching, decades-long friendship. <\/p>\n

\u201cDining with my bestie at the beach,\u201d wrote Fox. \u201cNext year BTTF is 41. Great Scott. Chris will be 8\ufe0f\u20e38\ufe0f\u20e3. That’s some serious sh**.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lloyd jumped into the comments and added, \u201cMan, that’s heavy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christopher Lloyd Is One of Michael J. Fox\u2019s Biggest Supporters <\/h2>\n

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd\u2019s relationship dates back to 1984, when the first installment of the iconic Back to the Future<\/em> franchise began filming. The duo went on to play as Marty McFly and Doc Brown in two more BTTF<\/em> movies, with the last released in 1990. While the two hit it off immediately, it wasn\u2019t until the final installment that the friendship really took root.<\/p>\n

“Chris is a great guy. He’s very enigmatic,” Fox said in 2023. “It took me a few films to get to know him. On \u2018Back to the Future Part III’, we connected in a way we hadn’t on the other films. I came to see how much he loved acting. I never got that before. To sit down and talk about acting and talk about Shakespeare and \u2018King Lear’\u2026 This guy can play King Lear! People don’t expect that of him. He’s full of surprises.<\/p>\n

Lloyd is well-known as being \u201camong the first to show unwavering support\u201d when Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s in 1991. In 2000, Fox went on to start The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and Lloyd is often on hand to support him at the foundation events. <\/p>\n

“Parkinson’s is the gift that keeps on taking – but it’s a gift, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. People like Chris have been there a lot for me, and so many of you have,\u201d Fox emotionally told the crowd at Comic Con in 2022, per Today<\/em>. \u201cIt’s not about what I have, it’s about what I’ve been given – the voice to get this done, and help people out.”<\/p>\n
