\u201cI mean, it is hard to argue against Michael having a positive influence on this sport. You know, I love the fact that he\u2019s so engaged at races, and I just can\u2019t emphasize enough how important it is not only for Michael but for any of the key stakeholders to have physical presence at the racetrack. And that\u2019s at all levels, not just the team owner level,\u201d Keselowski said.<\/p>\n
Keselowski also noted Jordan\u2019s personal commitment. Traveling nationwide for races and spending long weekends at the track requires significant time and energy.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo for him to have physical presence, I think, is a testament to his fortitude for being part of the sport because, let\u2019s face it, although he won his first three races, he lost a lot more as every car owner will. It\u2019s not a dig on him. And if I\u2019m a guy like him personally and wake up and say where do I want to be today and I know that I have less than a 10% chance of winning, flying my butt all across the country when I have all the things Michael has is probably something that takes me a minute to emotionally justify.\u201d<\/p>\n
Keselowski spoke about the relentless demands of NASCAR team ownership. The Cup Series schedule requires ongoing focus from team leadership.<\/p>\n
Running a team means constant pressure for results and the challenge of overseeing staff, drivers, and sponsors. With many races but few wins, success is hard-won.<\/p>\n
Keselowski said Jordan deserves credit for embracing those demands.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut he does, and I\u2019ll give him a lot of respect and credit for that because the sport is a grind not just for the people that work in it but also for the key stakeholders, be it team owners, executives, etc. So he\u2019s made the decision and choice to participate at a high level, to be engaged,\u201d Keselowski explained.<\/p>\n
His comments highlight the long hours and travel of the sport. Owners typically spend race weekends at the track while juggling weekday duties.<\/p>\n
Keselowski also noted the broader benefits Jordan brings. Jordan\u2019s global recognition provides NASCAR with valuable exposure. Keselowski said the sport benefits from that exposure.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fringe benefit for the sport is the brand that he has outside of it, which naturally comes with him, which is, I think, a great thing. I\u2019m happy for him, and I\u2019m happy for the sport. And I think it\u2019s hard to see any negatives. I\u2019m sure there\u2019s probably some out there, but I don\u2019t see \u2019em and, you know, generally happy he\u2019s part of our sport.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jordan\u2019s continued engagement draws sustained attention to both 23XI Racing and the NASCAR Cup Series throughout the season.<\/p>\n
