It might be a Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally <\/em>kind of a week, but last night, Saturday Night Live<\/em> took things all the way back to Harry Styles\u2019s debut album. <\/p>\n Ryan Gosling, the host for the evening\u2019s episode, was in the middle of his opening monologue, discussing his forthcoming film, Project Hail Mary<\/em>, when he was joined by an unexpected guest. To the actor\u2019s feigned confusion, the one-and-only Styles suddenly appeared on a split screen, sitting front row in the crowd.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat\u2019s going on? Just trying to understand why we\u2019d be in a split screen,\u201d Gosling questioned, interrupting himself as the audience cheered for the surprise cameo. \u201cWhat\u2019s going on with camera two?\u201d<\/p>\n The shot then panned to a cameraman in an \u201cI <3 Harry\u201d T-shirt, before turning back to Styles himself\u2014in a statement tee of his own. <\/p>\n The shirt in question, a faded dark-gray vintage piece, featured a cracked yellow smiley face and white writing below, reading \u201cI hate you.\u201d The cheeky number was a welcome addition to the musician\u2019s ever-growing collection of vintage graphic T-shirts\u2014including a handful of band tees, a shirt printed with \u201cPushing 50 Is Exercise Enough,\u201d and a Xanax tee reading \u201cAnxiety Has Many Faces,\u201d to name a few.<\/p>\n Continuing with his monologue, Gosling announced that he was going to skip a big dance number, and get straight to a song he had prepared for the evening. <\/p>\n \u201cIn the movie, there\u2019s this song,\u201d he told the camera. \u201cIt\u2019s a karaoke song. Sandra H\u00fcller sings it. It\u2019s very poignant and it\u2019s the anthem of our generation, some have said. It\u2019s called \u2018Sign of the Times\u2019\u2014and oh my god, it\u2019s by Harry Styles!\u201d<\/p>\n The host then proceeded to serenade his special guest with a rendition of the 2017 single, Styles\u2019s debut. <\/p>\n Next weekend, Styles will be back at SNL<\/em>, as both the host and musical guest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It might be a Kiss All the Time.
